insta-mom update
So it’s been about a month and a half since the stepdaughter came to live with us. School is out this Friday, and then she’s here for about another week after that, and then she moves to Arizona.
It’s been busy to say the least, since Sam mostly works at night and I’m the primary caregiver. And like most 12 year olds, she sometimes seems like a mini-adult, and sometimes she’s like a big child. We’re getting along well, though, and I’m glad both the Mr. and myself have the chance to get to know her better before she moves off across the country. And she’s having a great time hanging out and going to parties with her friends during the end-of-year slack period.
But it’s nothing to get my undies in a bunch over, especially since we have so many other things to worry about. Like setting up a nursery, going to baby showers, worrying about what will happen during my maternity leave, deciding on child care after maternity leave is done, changing my name, blah blah blah. Never a dull moment around here.
