guitar hero is just *before* the beat
So each of my brothers’ households (all the nephews, I think) has Guitar Hero as well as DDR. This week as I’m travelling across Minnesota visiting two of the families, I’ve had a chance to practice up on DDR — and learn and master Guitar Hero. OK, maybe “master” is too strong. But I’m at Medium, and have enough cash to buy a new outfit and guitar. The hardest thing about the first few times was learning that Guitar Hero wants the stroke just BEFORE the beat, where DDR is definitely ON the beat.
DDR is much better exercise too - I don’t think I need Guitar Hero in my house, I’d just sit around on my couch and play it for hours on end. Well, unless someone gets it for me, I guess.
GHIII is much better than GHII. I might just have to get this for Sam for his birthday so I can practice at home.
