jan and peter
When I was in Jerusalem in November, people from other offices were here - the UK, German, others from the US, and every night we went out and did something. Then, in February, I was the only foreigner in the office. That meant I went to dinner by myself every night, it’s not so fun to drink/eat by yourself in a foreign city. In fact, my song that week was “Sylvia Hotel” by Cheryl Wheeler (it starts: “This is a lonely life, as I know you know too well”).
This week, there is one other person, a guy from the Chicago office from the company we merged with (the other side of the family). Such fruitful conversations we have had, comparing notes, getting to know the other side a little better. It’s like Jan and Peter Brady hanging out, to follow my Brady Bunch theme. One big happy family gets closer and closer all spring.
