it’s going to be a good year. I can feel it.
I think 2007 is going to be a very good year. I’ll be ringing it in this weekend (starting tomorrow) in Syracuse NY with my friend Julia and her friends. And as for the rest of the year, I think it will turn out well.
So. Here are my New Year’s resolutions for 2007.
1. Finish reading the books I have purchased before I buy any new ones. [carryover resolution]
2. Buy a car. I tried to buy a car today but they didn’t have what I wanted in stock. The guy wanted to sell me a Civic instead, but I told him I can wait. Some things are worth waiting for.*
3. Practice my Spanish more. I thought I would last year but I hardly spoke it at all.
4. Get a more upbeat music collection. I was looking through the stuff on my iPod (and specifically the stuff I put in my playlists) the other day, and it was all so … depressing. I need to listen to happier stuff.
5. Visit Theresa in Australia. Tickets are purchased, plans are mostly made, so this one will be pretty simple to fulfill.
6. Eat all of the venison in my freezer by May.
* see the next post for the story about the car and why I need one.

Happier stuff on the playlist sounds like a good idea. I don’t know why but blues songs make me feel good. BB King’s “3 o’clock in the Morning” and the like pick me up for some reason.
Happy New Year!
